Description

This class is intended for Beginners who have had at least one prior set of bridge lessons, or those who feel they know the basics but need a refresher in modern conventions. We will cover and review the Big Five of Major-Major, Minor-Major, Stayman. Transfers and Negative Doubles, which apply to the vast majority (about 80%) of all bridge deals. Along the way, we will include opportunities for Defensive Bidding such as Overcalls and Takeout Doubles. Finally, we will add the basics of Defensive card play which include showing Attitude and Count. 

 

Bio: Mike Hess has been mentoring and teaching bridge for over 30 years. He is a Diamond Life Master with 6,000 masterpoints. In addition to teaching, Mike is a frequent competitor in tournaments and has won a North American championship as well as numerous regional events.
