Description

If you have been wanting to learn how to enjoy painting this class is for you! We work with smaller size canvas to explore paintings with your own personal expression. You will learn basic techniques, mixing colors, and enjoy the flexibility and fast drying qualities of acrylic paints. A safe and relaxing environment is provided.

About the Artist

Peri Pfenninger was born in New York and relocated to Connecticut in 2013. She received her Fine Arts degree at the New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, N.Y. in 1989, and completed her MFA with Western Connecticut State University, in Danbury, CT.

Her recent oil paintings depict abstract portraits of nature. She is currently painting a second oil portrait for the New York Supreme courthouse in Brooklyn, NY. Her exhibits include the Blue Mountain gallery in Chelsea, NYC and is currently exhibiting at the Milford Arts Council where one of her works received an honorable mention December 2024.

Additional Notes

Supplies needed: Basic Acrylic set, Goldens are preferred, lower cost sets are fine!! Assorted synthetic brushes, palette paper or white plastic plates, paper towel, cup for water, canvas no larger than 12x14, small sizes welcome.
