Students will get the chance to continue building on their prior experience with the chance to build their very own hardwood chopping board. They can enhance their boards by using a unique design and also add a frame or juice groove to their design.

They can also learn some advanced joinery techniques like dados, box joinery, rabbets and more. With what they learn they can create their own custom made boxes.

Time dependent, students can work on their own projects with materials brought from home.

Alison Stephens has been teaching Technology Education in Connecticut for the last 14 years. For most of that time she has taught a large amount of woodshop/hands on problem solving with emphasis on safety and good measurement skills.
