Description

Taiji is typically described as an activity for people who wish to improve their balance and exercise gently. While this applies to my class, it doesn’t really describe it.  This taiji class is about understanding the body's structure and alignment, strengthening awareness of how the one moves and exploring different ways of experiencing one's body.  While suitable for beginners, anyone who takes this class will be able to enrich their taiji practice.  The knowledge of posture and alignment developed with tai chi can flow into all activities . . Including  breathing,  sitting, standing, walking and running.   Each class will include  sequences from B. P. Chan's (1922-2002) Yang form, as well as, explorations of Therapeutic  Chinese Movement.
