Description

Connecticut State Approved Instructor: Captain Glenn Dean from Connecticut Boating Certificates LLC

This all-inclusive course allows you to legally operate a boat, personal watercraft, and includes the modern water ski towing endorsement. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have learned about state and federal boating laws and guidelines. They will have earned a CT Safe Boating Certificate (often referred to as the "Boater's License").

The State Certified instructor will guide you through the download process which includes a one-time additional payment due to the State of Connecticut of $50.00 per certificate. You are then certified for life.

Connecticut's Safe Boating Certificate has reciprocal value throughout the entire United States and its Territories. Ages 10 and up, (You are able to obtain a boating certificate as young as 10 but must be 16 to tow any skier or inflatable on either a boat or jet ski. You must also be 16 to solo on a jet ski. 10-15-year-olds can operate a jet ski but must be supervised by someone 18 years or older who also have their certificate.)

UPLOADING STUDENTS TO THE STATE PORTAL:

When students complete the class and pass the test, We enter all the names into the system through a provider portal given to us from the State of Connecticut specific to our company. Only sanctioned providers can enter people into the system otherwise the option to purchase your Safe Boating Certificate will not appear when signed in with your Conservation ID number. Unlike other providers, we pride ourselves in getting everyone into the system directly after class and will send an all inclusive "Class Completion Email" with step-by-step instructions for the purchase and downloading of the certificate.

ADDITIONAL COST DUE TO THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT:

What is meant by "purchasing the license" is that not included with the course fee is an additional one time fee due to the state of Connecticut of 50 dollars. Everyone pays this and we'll be sure to cover this in class a couple of times so no one feels "slighted".

THE TEST:

The test is accessed via a link to the Microsoft testing website and our instructors proctor the students taking the exam via the Zoom class. We'll need to see everyone taking the exam.

AFTER THE EXAM:

Once done with the class, and after the student gets the "class complete" email, they go back to the state website, sign in with their Conservation ID number and will see that the option to purchase the license will be available.
